For its 79th edition, the Régates de Valleyfield is once again able to count on the significant support of its major partners. The City of Salaberry-de-Valleyfield, Quebec Tourism, Molson, the Journal de Montréal and Loto-Québec continue their engagement with the organization, which represent good news for the event, as work is already underway on the 80th anniversary in 2018.

A new alliance with Bell

A new player joins these partners this year: the largest communication company in the country, Bell.  On April 20th, 2017, Nicolas Poitras, Vice-President of residential and small businesses for Bell was present to make the announcement at the press conference to announce the cultural and racing programs of the Salaberry-de-Valleyfield event.

With great joy, Michel Poirier, General Manager of the organization, had this to say: “ It was following a visit of our site during the 2016 event that the Directors from Bell got to live the experience of the Regatta.  There was some interest shown and discussions took place over the winter that led to an agreement. The Régates de Valleyfield organization is extremely happy with this relationship.”

On top of their financial contribution and their presence on-site during the festivities, Bell will contribute to the reach of the Regatta through their strong network, Bell Media, and their stations ENERGIE and CHOM.  Visitors to the site will also be able to recharge their mobile apparatus at charging stations made available on the site.
