Une démarche écoresponsable pour les Régates de Valleyfield

With the guidance of the Sustainable Events Council and Comité 21, in collaboration with the Comité ZIP du Haut St-Laurent, we are proudly launching an eco-friendly initiative. In this process, we wish to improve our practices during our festival, but also internally, throughout the year.
Here are a few key steps in this initiative, which will last until February 2023:
- Diagnosis of our current practices;
- Development of a strategic environmentally responsible action plan for 2022-2024;
- Implementation of eco-friendly measures in our event practices for 2023.
The support from Comité 21 and its collaborators-experts is financed by the Écoleader Fund.
In that respect, we are committed to obtaining this year the Clean Regattas certification by Sailors for the Sea, which promotes environmentally responsible practices in events near or on the water. To learn more about this certification, visit the Sailors of the Sea website.
